Dr. Raeburn was kind enough to take a few photos during surgery.  (I am pretty sure he was texting these to all of his doctor friends mid-dissection)  If you'd like to see them, click here.  If you don't want to see what my neck looks like after it's been cut open, then don't click here.  

I can't really explain what is going on in each one... "Chris" (as he signed the email when he sent me the photos) gave me a quick overview but I am not smart enough to know what it all meant.  You can see my jugular vein, my carotid artery, my thyroid, my trachea, and some other good things.
